Players and Parents;
Please take note of the following information that was distributed to clubs in the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association regarding the status of the Benfica Royals Soccer Academy.

Please be advised of the below note from the OSA regarding the Unsanctioned Benfica Royals Soccer Academy based in Ottawa.
They have listed 2 Tournaments (Festivals) they plan to attend that are hosted by EODSA Clubs. As they currently are not a member of EODSA or OSA, they are not permitted entry into any EODSA/OSA Member Festivals or to participate in any exhibition games against EODSA/OSA Members.
Please inform the Festival organizers in your Club so they are aware.
Please be advised that an unsanctioned group known as Benfica Royals Soccer Academy recently entered a Quebec sanctioned tournament and falsified documentation.
Today, we sent to this organization a Cease and Desist letter from our legal counsel.
It has been brought to my attention that on their website they are listing the following planned tournaments to attend for their U11 and U12 girls program.
Please be aware and ensure, if applicable, tournament organizers are made aware in your Districts.

Dear Members and Tournament Hosts,
Please be advised that an unsanctioned group known as Benfica Royals Soccer Academy recently attempted to enter another Quebec sanctioned tournament with falsified documentation misrepresenting itself as an Ontario Soccer Member.
Ontario Soccer sent this organization a final Cease and Desist letter from their legal counsel.
Their website lists teams in the U11 and U12 girls program. They may try to enter sanctioned tournaments within the district. They are not permitted to enter any sanctioned tournaments.
Please be aware as a Club and ensure your tournament organizers are made aware as well.
Please provide me with any information if this organization tries to enter teams in your tournament.
