Jeff Seeton - Running for Director-at-Large

Professional background: I am the owner of a consulting firm, My company provides service to the Government of Canada. Our expertise is in fields of professional consulting and staffing. I myself have worked as a political consultant, working with municipal and federal levels of government.

Board Experience: I am the former Vice-Chair of the Kanata Food Cupboard’s board of director (a volunteer board), also serving as the intern-chair for a period of time. In my time with the Food Cupboard we worked to diversify our funding through grants and from provincial/municipal partnerships. We secured funds to hire a volunteer coordinator that helped to increase the organization’s volunteer base. Our work also included exploring the possibility of creating a public and private partnership with local government.

Additional Community Experience: I had spent over 5 years as the president of the Kanata Town Centre Community Association. In this role I sat on many boards and panels specific to community development and governance.

WOSC Specific Experience and knowledge: Over the past 5 years I have coached many different levels of soccer at the WOSC. All of this experience has been as a LTPD coach in the representative stream.  This has been as a volunteer. Additionally I have  completed coaching certifications in Respect in Soccer, Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway (concussion protocol), Learn to Train, Soccer for Life and recently completed the training for the new OSA provincial C-License (an evaluation to be conducted in April 2016). I am a strong believer in Long Term Player Development and support the club’s vision of be the leader in Player Development 4 Life.
