WOSC wishes Spencer best of luck

WOSC is very pleased to announce that goalkeeper Spencer King (2001) has joined the Toronto FC Academy Program.

Spencer started at WOSC in 2011 and represented our club in the OPDL a total of 54 times.

"I want to thank everyone at WOSC, especially Andrei and Chris, for their hard work, encouragement and for everything they did for me," said King. "Everything is possible in soccer. You need to believe in yourself and work smart and hard every day. I also think that having a positive attitude is one of the most important parts in the development of any soccer player."

"I really like Toronto FC. It's definitely the best place to be as a young player in Canada, playing at the top level. They have the best facilities and a very professional environment," King added.

"I'm very proud of Spencer and wish him all the best at TFC. His dedication and discipline has made him into a top goalkeeper and he deserves everything that is happening to him right now,” said King’s goalkeeper coach at WOSC, Andrei Badescu. “At the same time, he is aware that his journey in soccer has just begun and he has a lot still to learn. But I know that Spencer has everything a goalkeeper needs to play and be successful at the professional level."

OPDL head coach Chris Roth said "I have had the privilege of coaching Spencer for two years. During that time, he has developed into an outstanding goalkeeper in great part due to his training with Andrei. Spencer has a solid character and I know he will do well with Toronto FC and whatever life brings him."

WOSC wishes Spencer best of luck!
