WINTER Registration is currently open.
WOSC is happy to announce the following 19 week WINTER Recreation League program for players from U10-U18. This is two weeks longer than previous seasons based on your responses to the year end survey.
In order to follow the Ontario Soccer Return To Play Phase 2 Guidelines, this program will be modified to adhere to all Provincial and Ontario Soccer restrictions.
The current maximum number of players that can come into contact with each other during any program is 50. This “SQUAD” of players will be organized onto a maximum of 4 teams of 12/13 players. The teams within the SQUAD will only play their modified games within the group of 4 teams.
The recreational league consists of weekly 1 hour games. Players will be placed on a team by a volunteer Age Group Convener (AGC) and the team will be coached by a volunteer coach. Each week teams will play against other teams in their age group. The 1 hour games will be run on the weekend between 7am and 12pm. Each team will play 4 or 5 games at each of the 1 hour time slots over the course of the winter.
All age groups will play 7v7 on a Mini field.
There is a maximum of 13 players per team.
Please note that facility cancellations beyond our control may occur. Players and coaches will be contacted as soon as possible via email.
ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS:
– The game time will be reduced at the beginning of the season to allow the participants of one game to leave the dome before the next participants enter the Dome. As the season progresses, this may be adjusted.
– It is not mandatory that players will have to wear masks. It is recommended by Ontario Soccer that all coaches wear masks so WOSC has decided that all coaches of indoor programming will be wearing masks.
– Each player will be required to complete a COVID-19 Self Assessment Checklist before every session. A link to this assessment will be given after registration into the program.
– WOSC must maintain a Contact Tracing Log so attendance will be taken at each game.
– One spectator per child will be allowed into the Thunderbird Dome. And parents will need to be wearing a mask and social distancing.
– There will NOT be any benches for players or parents to sit on.
– If a player brings a water bottle, it must be labeled. No other items are allowed.
– Players and parents/guardians will be asked to sanitize their hands before entering into the Dome.
