New This Year!!!
WOSC will be offering a weekly 1/2 day summer soccer camp for players born from 2017-2015. This fun-filled outdoor camp will offer a week of activities focusing both on the children’s physical literacy as well as their development of soccer skills. Sign your child up for 1 week, or several weeks, and let them explore the beautiful game with us!
For players born in 2018. This mixed gender program introduces soccer through fun activities and games. Sessions are 45 minutes in length, once a week and are led by a volunteer coach. Emphasis will be on developing a player’s ABC’s (agility, balance, and coordination) and the introduction of specific skills, especially dribbling.
For players born in 2017. This mixed gender program introduces soccer through fun activities and games. Sessions are 60 minutes in length (note that the technical portion of these sessions will not exceed 45 min), once a week and are led by a volunteer coach. Emphasis will be on developing a player’s ABC’s (agility, balance, and coordination) and specific soccer skills, especially dribbling.
For players born in 2017. The Active Start PLUS program is for players who are looking to train under the direction of a professional WOSC Staff coach. Emphasis will be on ball skill development and soccer-specific movement. Sessions are 60 minutes in length (note that the technical portion of these sessions will not exceed 45 min), once a week. This program is mixed-gender.
For players born in 2016. This program is ideal for players who, at this time, are interested in improving their soccer skills through fun activities and small-sided games. Sessions are one (1) hour in length (note that the training duration of the session will not exceed 45 minutes), once a week and squads are led by a volunteer coach. Emphasis will be on developing a player’s ABC’s (agility, balance, and coordination) and the development of specific soccer skills, especially dribbling. Sessions will end with a small-sided game. Teams will be single gender.
For players born in 2016. This program is for players who are looking to train more than once a week. Emphasis will be on ball skill development and soccer-specific movement. Sessions are one (1) hour in length (note that the training duration of the session will not exceed 45 minutes), twice a week, consisting of one technical session (mixed gender) and one tactical session (games are usually single gender with some exceptions). There will be no “evaluations” for this program. The only requirement is the player’s willingness to be at every session.
